Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 January 2026. These terms apply to every container Katy Dumpster Rental Group places. They are written to be readable rather than impressive.
1. The rental
The quoted flat rate covers delivery of the container, an agreed rental period, collection, and disposal of the load up to the weight allowance stated at the time of booking. Anything beyond that — extra days, extra weight — is charged at the rates we tell you before you book.
2. Weight allowances and overage
Each container size carries an included tonnage. Loads are weighed on certified scales at the disposal facility and the ticket is available to you on request. Weight over the allowance is billed at the per-ton rate quoted at booking. We would always rather advise you into a smaller container than surprise you with an overage charge.
3. Prohibited materials
The following may not be placed in our containers under any circumstances:
- Liquids of any kind, including paint, solvents, oils and fuels
- Hazardous, toxic, radioactive, medical or infectious waste
- Asbestos or any material containing asbestos
- Tyres, batteries, propane cylinders and pressurised containers
- Appliances containing refrigerant that has not been professionally evacuated
- Pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals and cleaning chemicals
- Hot ashes, flammable material or anything still smouldering
If prohibited material is found in a load, you are responsible for the cost of its separation, handling and lawful disposal, plus any fine levied on us by the receiving facility. The county operates household hazardous waste collection for most household hazardous material.
4. Placement and access
You are responsible for ensuring the delivery location is accessible and lawful, and for confirming that placement is permitted by any homeowners association, landlord or property manager. If the container must occupy a public street or right of way, obtaining the relevant permit is your responsibility.
We lay protective boards under container rails as standard. Even so, roll-off containers are heavy, and placement on driveways, pavers, septic drain fields, irrigation lines and unreinforced surfaces is at the property owner's risk. Tell us about anything below the surface before we arrive.
5. Loading
Material must be level with or below the top rail of the container. State law prohibits us from transporting an overfilled container. If a container is loaded above the fill line we will ask you to remove material before we can haul it, and a return trip may be chargeable. Do not load material so as to make the door unopenable if you have used the door.
6. Rental period, extensions and cancellation
The standard rental period is agreed at booking. Extensions are available at the stated daily rate — call before the period ends. Cancellations made before the truck is dispatched are free. If our driver arrives and cannot deliver because access is blocked, a vehicle is in the way, or the site is not ready, a dry-run charge may apply.
7. Liability
Once the container is delivered, you are responsible for it and its contents until we collect it, including any material added by third parties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Payment
Payment is due as agreed at booking. We accept major cards. Account terms are available to established commercial customers on request.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and the courts of Harris, Fort Bend and Waller Counties, Texas have jurisdiction.
10. Questions
Call (346) 279-1335 or email info@katydumpsterrentalgroup.com. We would rather answer a question before delivery than argue about it afterwards.
